Master of Technology, widely known as MTech, is a postgraduate engineering degree programme that lasts for two years. Students can pursue the MTech degree after successfully completing their graduation in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Technology, or equivalent in an appropriate area. Students seeking MTech admission need to appear for national and university-level entrance examinations, such as GATE, IPU, CET, and TANCET.
However, entrance examinations are not compulsory for securing admissions in the MTech programme in India. If you aim to get MTech admission without taking entrance examinations, you can apply to private academic institutions. Students must fulfil the private university’s eligibility criteria they dream of attending.
