IMD forecasts large rainfall in Thane and Mumbai, and other parts of Maharashtra on May 17

Raigad, Mumbai and Thane would get very heavy rainfall on Monday, when Raigad is anticipated to see thunderstorms together with super and gusty wind from Weekend (May 15).

New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has expected heavy rainfall in Maharashtra’s Raigad, Mumbai and Thane on Monday (May 17).

Inside a warning from the IMD on Thursday, it mentioned that a low-tension area formed over the Arabian Seas is predicted to intensify into a cyclonic storm by Might 16 which will almost certainly result in large rainfall in Mumbai, some places in Goa, to the south Konkan location and also Gujarat.

In traditional western Satara, Maharashtra and Kolhapur are likely to acquire large to really hefty rainfall at remote spots in ghat areas on Sunday and Monday, whilst a similar warning continues to be given for Pune on Monday, the statement explained.
