New Delhi. The Oscar and Grammy award winner Star Indian composer, Mr. A.R. Rahman said that it was indeed very unfortunate for him that he was unable to pay his last respects to these iconic Bollywood film stars, Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.
He added” it is so unfortunate that at this time nobody can even go for the funerals. They gave so much of themselves for the people to see, and it is such an unfortunate time (that we could not even attend the funeral)”. It is what A.R.Rahman told to IANS.
He further added that “It is a holy month of Ramadan. In a way they are blessed”.
Irrfan khan was diagnosed with an endocrine tumour in the year 2018.He passed away on 29th of April 2020, at the age of 54 years. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital at Mumbai, a day before his death, because of a colon infection. He finally succumbed to his ailment next day, in the hospital itself.
Rishi Kapoor died a day later. He was suffering from Leukaemia. He was admitted in HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, in the same city, Mumbai. He passed away at the age of 67 years.
A.R.Rahman has joined hand with Mr. Prasoon Joshi, who is a celebrated lyricist himself, on the work front. They gave a musical tribute to the nation’s fight against the outbreak of COVID-19. They created a song “Hum haar nahi manenge”. This song has been released by HDFC bank.
