The Passing of John Gianino

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden and untimely passing of John Gianino, who held a special place in our community and was a beloved friend to numerous individuals. On September 23, 2023, the world was left in a state of shock and profound grief as we bid farewell to John. His departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt for years to come. It is important to recognize that John was more than just a name; he was a symbol of a remarkable spirit, and his vitality and zest for life endeared him to the hearts of many.

John had a unique gift for brightening any room with his warm and optimistic presence. His love for life, particularly his unwavering dedication and service to his family and friends, was the driving force behind the captivating aura that surrounded him. Fortunately, those fortunate enough to have known him will forever carry the joy and happiness he brought into their lives in their hearts.

In addition to his vibrant personality, John was a distinguished graduate of St. John’s Prep, Class of 1953, and Providence College, Class of 1957. He later went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as a retired Vice President for John Hancock Life Insurance Company. Furthermore, John selflessly volunteered for the Archdiocese of Boston and was an esteemed member of the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

Funeral services have been scheduled for September 27, 2023, Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Colliers Funeral Home, located at 3400 N Lindbergh, St. Ann, MO. Subsequently, the funeral will take place at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, situated at 3130 Parkwood Lane, Maryland Heights, MO. Although he may have departed from this world, John’s indomitable spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.
