He might be youthful, but fellow coaches Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and John Legend believe a little-town Michigan teen might be Blake Shelton’s ace in the hole about this season of “The Voice.”
15-years old Brayden Lape comes from Grass Lake, which can be between Jackson and Ann Arbor. His Blind Audition around the hit NBC reality singing competition aired for the finish of night two first round of auditions on Tuesday, September 20.
“Grass Lake, Michigan is a very village. Everyone knows everyone. We’d, like, 98 kids within my grade. I play basketball, football and baseball,” Lape stated before his audition.
“Ever since he’s been a young boy he’s excelled at everything he did,” his father added. “He type of began obtaining your guitar, learning it by himself and singing within the room using the door closed and lastly singing before us.”
Lape performed “This Town” by Niall Horan. Coach Blake Shelton was the only person from the four to show a seat for him, but when another coaches learned what age Lape was, they believed they’ve already designed a mistake.
