Singapore President, Parliament Speaker and Minister test COVID positive

Singapore President Halimah Yacob, Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin, and Minister Edwin Tong have tested positive for COVID-19.

Ms. Halimah, 67, stated inside a Facebook publish on Monday, “Just tested positive for Covid-19 with mild flu-like signs and symptoms. Thankfully, I’ve been vaccinated and boosted. I really hope to recuperate soon and am sorry to need to miss the occasions now.”
