Bapurao Gadkari, was a well-known personality in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and served as its Sarkaryavah (general secretary). His mother, Smt. Radhabai, was a homemaker. Gadkari completed his schooling from Dharampeth High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Government College of Nagpur.
