Ghosted, starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, has unveiled its debut poster. Cole Riggan (Evans) and Sadie, the actors’ respective characters, are depicted on the movie’s Apple TV+ poster (Armas). Dexter Fletcher is helming the romantic action film (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Rocketman).
Currently, April is the projected release date for the upcoming movie. The movie’s leading actors, Evans and de Armas are on the poster. The collaboration between Evans and Armas is familiar. The two starred in the action film The Gray Man by the Russo Brothers, where they fought on opposing sides, and they also appeared in the acclaimed 2019 murder mystery Knives Out.
Evans’ MCU co-star Scarlett Johansson had been negotiating to star with him before de Armas, but she had to back out owing to a schedule difficulty, so de Armas took her place.
The plot of the movie ‘Ghosted’
The synopsis for the film, which was written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Erik Sommers, and Chris McKenna, has yet to be made public. From the movie’s title, Ghosted, you would guess that it will center on one of the main characters ghosting the other after they first meet, but you might be in for a surprise. There will undoubtedly be action scenes mixed in with the romance because the film belongs to the romantic action genre and has the tagline “meeting that particular someone can be a true adventure.”
Regrettably, little is known about the plot at this point. All that is known about the storyline is that it will be a romantic, high-concept action-adventure movie. Early reviews compare the movie to the 1980s classic Romancing the Stone, which told the tale of a single romance author named Joan Wilder, played by Kathleen Turner, who ventures outside of her New York City apartment to the dangerous jungles of Colombia to save her sister, who has been abducted by criminals looking to steal a priceless treasure, and along the way falls in love with a dashing adventurer named Jack T Colton.
Cast of the movie ‘Ghosted’
Chris Evans and Ana de Armas provide two engaging leads in this movie. De Armas began her career in Cuba before relocating to Spain, where she rose to fame as the lead in the well-liked teen soap opera El Internado. Knock Knock, a moralist horror movie about a married guy who has a one-night fling with two young ladies and pays the price for it when they refuse to leave, marked her first English-language appearance in 2015.
In the 2017 film Blade Runner 2049, De Armas landed her first significant role as Joi, the protagonist’s holographic AI girlfriend. Her most prominent part, Marta in Knives Out, for which she got her first Golden Globe nod, was made possible by this one.
Chris Evans began his career as a teen heartthrob in early 2000s films like Not Another Teen Movie. He swiftly switched to more mature material and starred in various action and superhero movies, including Fantastic Four and Sunshine, as well as romantic comedies, What’s Your Number and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Evans’ most recognizable performance as Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger was awarded in 2011. He has played the superhero in eleven movies since then.
His most well-regarded performances came in the Rian Johnson mystery Knives Out and the Bong Joon-Ho thriller Snowpiercer, which tells the story of a lower-class insurrection on a train carrying the last of humanity after climate change has devastated the planet. Evans appears to be in for a big year in 2023; in addition to Ghosted, he will also appear in the crime drama Pain Hustlers with Emily Blunt and the high-profile holiday action comedy Red One with Dwayne Johnson.
Despite the lack of available information regarding the film, Apple TV+ has provided a list of actors appearing in Ghosted. Adrien Brody plays Leveque, Mike Moh plays Wagner, Tim Blake Nelson plays Borislov, Marwan Kenzari plays Marco, Anna Deavere Smith plays Claudia Yates, Lizze Broadway plays Mattie, Mustafa Shakir plays Monte Jackson, Tiya Sircar plays Patti, Amy Sedaris plays Tate, and Tate Donovan plays Tate Donovan.
Apple Studios and Skydance Media are the producers of Ghosted, along with Evans, Wernick, and Reese. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Julie Daly also serve as producers. The movie was filmed in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., starting on February 14, 2022, and finished in May 2022.
