Community grieves death of Azuree Charles 1 day after boy’s father charged with murder

Community people in New Kensington are remembering 9-year-old Azuree Charles four several weeks after police stated his father wiped out him.

Police arrested and billed Jean Charles on Wednesday with murder within the first degree and criminal homicide. The boy’s mother, Luella Elien, seemed to be arrested and billed regarding the another incident relating to the boy. She faces irritated assault and child endangerment charges.

On Thursday, Azuree Charles‘ neighbors and buddies celebrated the beginning of justice being offered. A large number of balloons were released in the memory.

“He never bothered anybody. He rode his bike. He loved riding his bike. And that he loved having fun with his siblings,” stated Osie Taylor, a neighbor.

Taylor told KDKA-TV he found Azuree’s body in May after he went missing. Based on documents, police stated the boy was discovered covered in dirt and dirt and engrossed in a Styrofoam cooler and old lawn furniture.

“How will you do this for your own kid?” Taylor stated.

“That’s horrible,” stated Tasha Johnson, a residential area activist in New Kensington.

Johnson planned this balloon mechanism release and stated the city intends to fight together to obtain justice for that 9-year-old boy.

“We will fight like a community to obtain justice,” Johnson stated.

Government bodies stated the analysis is not over and encourage anybody with information in the future forward.

“Anybody involved, anybody discussion anything – there are spoken up, you have to speak up. Even though you think it isn’t important, it might be important. You may put that certain piece to some puzzle that they could be missing,” Johnson stated.
