The first thing you need to do, before you take any rash action, is to sit down and consider what your options are. There are certain factors in life that, realistically, have to be considered before any real choices can be made. Fortunately, very few of these factors will outright block you from pursuing your passion.
What Are Your Priorities? The first thing you need to think about are your priorities. What do you need most in the world right now? How old are you? What is your financial state? Are people dependent on you? These are all important questions and by answering them, you equip yourself to better answer the next question you must consider.
Can You Afford to Make a Change? Can you really afford to make a significant change to your life right now? Can you afford to swap careers, to take career change courses and whatever else you need to do to allow you to follow your passion? If you can, then that is brilliant but if not, then there is another question you should consider.
What Can You Do to Work with Your Passion? Since you can’t change career and pursue your passion wildly now, what can you do to work with your passion? How do you chase that spark while still leaving space for everything else you need to do in life You could pursue your passion as a hobby or even as a second source of income. You could save up and plan to make it your primary profession. Whatever you can do to make your passion work in the meantime, do it.
Do What Feels Right
Finally, an important point to keep in mind is to always do what feels right to you. Deep down, you will always know what is going to be best for you and the people around you. If you feel like you can genuinely chase your passion, then it is most likely fine. However, if there is a little part of you that is telling you things will go wrong, maybe slow down and think things through before you do something you might regret.
